Third-party hardware makers might finally be allowed to create Apple-approved USB-C to Lightning cables through the company’s MFi program. Japanese publication Mac Otakara reports today that Apple informed its MFi partners that they’ll be able to manufacture these cables, which only Apple has made since the accessory’s debut.
